Agric Tech Nigeria Conference
The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) and the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA), have pledged to work collaboratively to advance the shared vision of fostering inclusion and empowering the next generation of leaders.
This commitment was expressed by both the General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal and the Executive Secretary of LJLA, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunnade on Monday during a courtesy visit to LASODA’s office in Alausa Ikeja by officials of the Academy.
In her welcome address, Mrs. Oyetunde-Lawal emphasised LASODA’s mission of ensuring that disability discourse is prioritised across communities and organisations. She reiterated the Agency’s dedication to creating a society where everyone becomes an ambassador of inclusion, fostering equity and opportunity for all.
Mrs. Oyetunde-Lawal expressed LASODA’s enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are excited to begin this collaboration with the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy. Together, we will work towards fostering a culture of inclusion while empowering the next generation of leaders to create a more equitable and inclusive society.”
Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Agbaje-Okunnade reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to developing well-rounded leaders who are attuned to the complexities of modern society. She emphasised the importance of mentorship and structured feedback to shape young leaders through the Academy’s fellowship programmes.
Mrs. Agbaje-okunnade also called for LASODA’s guidance in achieving the goals, particularly in promoting inclusive leadership practices.
The team from LJLA includes the Head of Programmes, Research and Development Unit, Cynthia Akhagbeme-Simeon; the Head of Media and Communications Unit, Temitope Akinyemi and some top management officials of the LASODA.
