The Proprietress and Founder of the privately-owned, high-profile, multi-specialist medical center, Deborah Multi-Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Owode Oba-ile, Akure, Ondo State, Erelu Remilekun Mulikat Ibidapo, will be traditionally coronated as Erelu Atunluse of Owo Kingdom by the Olowo-in-Council of Chiefs on April 11th, 2026, at the Olowo’s Palace, Owo.
This follows the special recognition of her contributions towards the development of individuals and communities within the state and globally, for which the Olowo Council of Chiefs, under the rulership and paramountcy of the revered Oba Ajibade Gbadegeshin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo Kingdom and Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas, deemed it fit to honour and install her as the Erelu Atunluse of the old Owo Empire on April 1st, 2026, before a mammoth crowd.
Since the installation, she has remained incommunicado, performing the necessary traditional rites of the stool, which will be formally declared after paying homage to the exalted throne seat of the Olowo with a native traditional thanksgiving procession from her Aare White House courtyard, km 1 Ikare/Owo road to the inner chamber of Ugha Eduma, the Olowo’s Palace, Oke-Owo, and hosting her sets of traditional Chiefs, the extension of the Privy Council of Chiefs, and the entire body of traditional Chiefs.
Most notably, the exclusive royal procession movement is expected to include Aare Atunluse of Owo Kingdom, Prince Rotimi Benjamin Ibidapo, OON, the husband of the celebrant, a renowned American music promoter, Elder Edson Aderemi Fagbemi, Mr Andrew Ibidapo, Dr Lateef Ajanaku Makun, Mrs Atinuke Okeya, Pastor T Dada of RCCG, New Jersey City, captains of industry, notable chiefs, and dignitaries from all walks of life worldwide.
Thereafter, following the observance of customs, traditions, culture, and norms, friends, associates, admirers, and the general public are expected to gather at Mydas Hotel and Resorts for entertainment by the legendary King Adewale Ayuba and his Bonsue band.
The maiden Erelu Atunluse, Remilekun Mulikat Ibidapo, is the daughter of the flamboyant philanthropist and business mogul Chief Jimoh Ajanaku Makun, the Executive Chairman of Ajanaku Makun Group of Companies and the Seriki Musilimu of Owoland, and Chief Mrs. Deborah Adeyoriola Ujayoriade Ajanaku Makun, the Iya Isale of Methodist Church Nigeria, Owo Diocese, Oke-Owo Circuit, and a chartered trader who will be laid to rest next week, April 17th, 2026.
It will be recalled that Erelu Remilekun is also the Yeye Aare Apesin of Akure Kingdom, Yeye Kajewolu of Akokoland, and Yeye Aare Akile of Ile-Ife.
Remilekun Mulikat Ibidapo is an American-certified nurse, owner of merchandise trading companies, and a cosmopolitan socialite who matrons various clubs and associations focused on women and societal development.
While being interviewed during her installation weeks ago, she said: “I have been committing myself to humanity and societal advancement for decades, starting as a pupil in elementary school where I shared whatever I had with my classmates and age mates. I realized that I couldn’t eat alone without having friends around me to eat with me. These traits stayed with me through boarding school, college, marriage, motherhood, and eventually in my work as a businesswoman. In fact, the habit is inherited. My parents are known as givers. And to me, it pays.
And I can’t stop giving, and to God be the blessings and glory.”
It’s noteworthy that the Erelu Atunluse title is a remarkably created and institutionalized position for the developmental growth and development of the people and the entire Owo community by the Olowo-in-Council.
The title holder is expected to support community developmental projects in all ramifications, making it a great and dignified seat in the Olowo royal council.
