The 2026 edition of the U-13 JOF Kids Cup Tournament, which commenced a few weeks ago, is steadily moving towards more challenging rounds with the Round of 16 fixtures set for this weekend.

Both venues at Ojo Oniyun and Lekki in Lagos will be lively on Saturday and Sunday as teams compete for spots in the quarter finals.

Last weekend concluded the Round of 32, with Ikosi Football Academy from Ketu securing a 1-0 victory over Mainland Football Academy. HB Utility from Ilupeju fell 1-2 to Soccer City of Iwaya, Latoyen Football Academy of Aguda defeated B. Unit of Mainland 1-0, and Melody FA from Iwaya triumphed 4-2 on penalties following a goalless draw against Clever Star of Ajegunle, all at the Ojo Oniyun venue.

At the Lekki venue, teams such as Ghetto Tiger from Mushin, VI Foot from Ijora, First Class from Lagos Island, and Future Talent from Ojota all advanced to the Round of 16 based on matches played last Saturday.

Additionally, Strong Dove from Coker, Super Rainbow from Iwaya, Ultimate Football Academy Phoenix Boys from Apapa, Young Talent from Ajegunle, Ice Football Academy, Smart Striker from Ogun State, and Fortune Football Academy will also participate in this weekend’s games.

Furthermore, the tournament’s organizers, the Lagos State Grassroots Football Association, announced that the quarter-final matches are scheduled for Sunday, April 5, 2026.

The U-13 JOF Kids Cup Tournament is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the sponsoring company, JOF Nigeria Limited, which is a fully local manufacturing and supply chain service firm that has a keen focus on nurturing the potential of Nigerian youth.
