The Canadian Government has advised its citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to Nigeria due to the unpredictable security situation, including significant risks of terrorism, armed attacks, crime and kidnappings.
The Government of Canada has assigned different risk levels to various parts of Nigeria, citing Lagos and Calabar where citizens are advised to exercise a high degree of caution.
The advisory is in place due to several ongoing security concerns.
